The coffee shop bets on a beautiful architecture, as it shares the space with offices and a bookstore. On their menu, organic coffees stand out

The operations manager of Cafelito de Pinheiros, Janaína Marques, says that the coffee is provided by Café do Mercado, from 5 producing regions in Brazil: Chapada Diamantina, Cerrado Mineiro, Alta Mogiana, Espírito Santo Mountains, and the Southern Minas Gerais. They also serve the famous Jacu Bird, an organic coffee from Henrique Slopers Camocin farm, which won the 2017 Cup of Excellence award.

The extraction methods are espresso, Hario V60, French press, and Aeropress. In addition to the organic coffees, they also feature a list of vegan products for gluten- and lactose-intolerant customers, fast foods, and light meals: “We are a specialty coffee shop that believes in sustainability and seek to respect, as much as possible, the natural processes of products that we serve,” explained Marques.

The close relationship with its customers is one of Cafelito’s strengths: the waiting staff treats people in a very friendly way, calling them by their name. “There is a customer who has come here every day since our inauguration. We asked their name and talk to everyone. This bond represents Cafelito.”

Guest Coffee Project

This close relationship with its customers gave rise to idea of the Café Convidado project. “I had a customer who always said that he also toasted his own coffee. One day, I told him to bring it here so we could serve it to our customers, and thus the project was born. If you roast your coffee and wish to bring it to the coffee shop, our team will test the grain. If approved, it will be purchased by Cafelito.
