It is Coca Cola’s second incursion into the world of coffees: the first one took place in 2016, with the launch of a coffee line, using the Mate Leão brand
After Australia, Japan and Vietnam, now it is time for Brazil to try the new launch, Coca-Cola + Espresso. The beverage has 40% more caffeine and 50% less sugar compared to the original version.
Coca-Cola + Espresso Coffee will be sold in 220 ml cans, at the suggested price from R$ 2 to R$ 2.50.
In 2016, Coca-Cola entered the coffee business using the Leão brand. At the time, the company announced that it intended to work in the special products segment, with a blend of Arabica coffee from Cerrado de Minas and the mountainous region of Espírito Santo.
After receiving the release, Grão Especial sought Coca-Cola for an interview. However, we were informed by the press office that many changes are taking place in the company and that, for that reason, they would not have a spokesperson. What a shame. We hope that this decision has nothing to do with the investigation of the Federal Police on possible overbilling in the company, according to UOL’s recent finding.
