Nespresso starts producing capsules with 80% recycled aluminum
Nespresso (www.nespresso.com) recently announced that its coffee capsules will be made from 80% recycled aluminum. The change will occur gradually across the company’s coffee line.
The first capsules to be adapted to the new model will be those of the Master Origin Colombia variety, one of Nespresso’s regular and domestic coffees. The first capsules produced with 80% recycled aluminum supplied the European market. In Brazil, they will be available as of July.
In addition to the capsules, the cardboard boxes that pack the Nespresso machines have also been produced with 95% recycled material, since the beginning of the year.
