Amika Coffeehouse, in Fortaleza, was opened in March 2013 by Danielly Soares. Graduated in publicity and advertising, she started in the specialty coffees world after taking a barista course. And never stopped.

She started Amika bearing in mind the concept of being the first place in Fortaleza dedicated exclusively to specialty coffees. Danielly is responsible for the grains selection, baristas training and customer service.

The coffee shop is a two-story building that house itinerant paintings and photography exhibitions. Its menu presents three different grains types: a micro-lot from Fazenda Serra Negra and another from Fazenda Pântano, both located in the Cerrado region of Minas Gerais. The third is called Montanhas do Espirito Santo, from Fazenda Marapé. All grains are roasted at the Amika Coffeehouse.

Coffees are served in 8 different methods: Clever, Chemex, Hario v60, Kalita, French Press, Aeropress, Siphon Coffee and Espresso, prepared in a La Marzocco machine. Also cappuccinos, macchiatos, mochas, cold brews, shakes and special drinks with coffee are also served, like the Nutella frappe.

Amika Coffeehouse has become a benchmark both in Fortaleza and throughout the Northeast region of Brazil, offering training courses for baristas and coffee workshops.
