Yuri Pinnotti, Tem Café’s owner, a shop specializing in the direct sale to microlot consumers, mostly small entrepreneurs, highlighted the difficulty in choosing only 10 of the nearly 60 different labels

Lists are, as a rule, unfair, but even aware of this, we went to Yuri Pinnotti’s Tem Café to ask him, exclusively for Grão Especial, to choose the 10 best coffees marketed in his establishment in 2018, among the more than 60 microlots that are sold in the shop.

For Yuri, the mission was complicated. “We are always getting very good coffees at the shop, and choosing only 10 of them was a very difficult exercise,” he explains.

Therefore, with no further ado, let us get down to business:

1st place – Nuance Coffee, produced by Ismael Andrade, from Cerrado de Minas, it was the champion of the Cup of Excellence Brazil Naturals 2018, the biggest award in the sector. Ishmael and his brothers produce excellent coffees in their seven properties;

2nd place – Terroir Faleiros Coffee, produced by the Cafés de Alta Mogiana group, composed of nine farms producing specialty coffees. Terroir Faleiros is produced on the Nossa Senhora de Fátima farm. In 2015, it was voted the best coffee in the Alta Mogiana region;
