Ensei Neto is one of the most well-known names in the Brazilian specialty coffee scene. Sensorial Management of Beverage & Food Consultant, known for his projects developed worldwide on Marketing and Specialty Coffee Quality. In 2006 created his blog, The Coffee Traveler, first in the country specializing in coffee and sensory experiences.
Ensei is a classical musician, took courses in photography and cinema and worked in the food and beverage industries, where he worked with fermented alcoholic beverages such as wine, cachaça and sake. His passion for coffee started when he moved from São Paulo to live on his father-in-law’s farm, knowing more about the grain process and nuances. He became a full member of SCAA’s Technical Standards Committee, where he was responsible for structuring the coffee evaluation methods, which are currently used.
Currently, Ensei hosts coffee-focused events such as the Jamboree Brasil Café, which is already in its 5th edition, and also offers consultancy and training focused on marketing and sensorial management. In addition to all this, he teaches courses and provides training on specialty coffees, from preparation to evaluation. All the courses described below are held at Sindicafé-SP, located at Praça Dom José Gaspar no. 30, in the República neighborhood.
