I Specialty Coffee Week of Cristina, MG, is taking place on May 6-11

The municipality of Cristina is home to numerous small specialty coffee producers, already awarded

Cristina is a mining town that hides several treasures, among them an extensive community of small family producers of specialty coffees. Read the complete story at the link. The city has received the Coffee and Music Festival for more than 10 years both events promoted by the Municipal Tourism, Culture and Environment Department of Cristina.

Cristina’s Special Week I, which will take place from May 6 to 11, will be a great learning opportunity for small producers. There will be Tasting, Roasting, Classification and coffee tasting course, in addition to lectures, gastronomic workshops, other workshops etc.

“This is an excellent opportunity for small producers of specialty coffees in the region, with a view to their professional improvement. The world needs to know more about our specialty coffees that always stand out in the competitions, including the Cup of Excellence”, thanks to the terroir and the high altitudes, says Tourism Secretary Rafael Rezek, who created the event. There will also be a discussion on the export of specialty coffee microlots and another one on the importance of communication and marketing in the family business.
