Highlights

In general, the main highlight of the competitions was the baristas’ concern to present new techniques such as the sprouting process, which allows a greater maturation of the grain, which was the case of Léo Moço, a three-time Brazilian champion. Several professionals also attempted to add up modernity, bringing fermented coffees for the competition and carbonic maceration techniques, among other novelties.

The event was organized by BSCA (Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association) and Apex-Brazil.
