Revelia Praliné, launched by Tea Shop, is an India Pale Ale (IPA) beer based on the Pu Erh red tea, which harmonizes the best characteristics of the two drinks.

Tea Shop is launching Revelia Praliné, a beverage made from tea and beer. In a 473ml can, the product is a partnership between Tea Shop and Cruls Craft Brewery, from Brasília. Inspired by the English brewing school with an infusion of Tea Shop’s Praliné blend, Revelia has a reddish color, is full-bodied and elaborated from a set of malts, with touches of caramel and biscuit. By adding tea, the beer gains complexity and shows hazelnut, vanilla and cocoa aromas and flavors. “We prepare the tea following instructions such as water temperature and infusion time. Then, we transfer it to the beer and wait for this mixture to reach its sensory apex. Once this level is reached, we proceed to the beer filling”, explains Pedro Montes, a Cruls’ brewer.

This is not the first time that tea and beer have come together in the name of taste. In 2019, Tea Shop launched two beers based on white and green teas, signed by the Albano brewery, from Belo Horizonte. “Versatility is one of the most appreciated features of tea”, explains the brand’s CEO, Michel Bitencourt. “Tea is an ingredient that can be used in cooking or in preparing drinks and smoothies, without losing personality and adding new notes”, he adds.
