It works like a frequent-flyer program of airlines, however focused on increasing rural properties’ yield.

Seedz is a fully online platform whose main goal is to integrate small, medium and large farmers and the supplier companies of the Brazilian agribusiness. According to Matheus Ganem, Seedz CEO and also a farmer, the software is much more than simply a loyalty program. “It is an intelligent tool developed in a much more practical operational model for exchange of points for products, services and exclusive benefits. So, our goal is to help increase the production in farms, assisting farmers with online management of their properties. Moreover, the farmer can change points for machines, equipment, inputs, courses and even payment of electricity bills (for small properties) and gift-cards”, he explains.

The program already counts on over 60 thousand producers of different cultures, spread across the country and Ganem expects to reach 200 thousand by the end of 2021. “The farmer doesn’t need to change his usual suppliers, with whom he is used to work. But, while using Seedz, he will gain points with which he can acquire other assets and services to improve the farm management”.

How it works

Every time the farmer buys a good or service in Seedz partner from the offline world (physical) he accumulates a virtual currency, Seedz. This currency can be exchanged for products, services and benefits. The same happens if the farmer shops online at Seedz Marketplace or his current suppliers, as long as they are registered in the company’s platform. “Our platform is independent and can be connected to any agribusiness segment or company. We are not attached to any specific brand”, adds Ganem.

Even when the purchase is made in a physical store, the process is always online, that is, after the purchase, the customer fills a short registration form available on the website, on Seedz app or on the Apple Store Google Play. The purchase value will be credited inside the platform, and the customer can monitor and redeem the currency accumulated.

“The customer will not gain a travel to Disneyland on the platform, for example, because we only work with agribusiness suppliers. But, with the gain in productivity we offer, and the possibility of increasing profit in the property, he can decide whether to invest his money in a travel with the family or use his Seedz points to buy a new tractor, for example.

Seedz is a 100% national technology startup with headquarters in Belo Horizonte dedicated to help Brazilian farmers migrate the administration of their business to the virtual world.
