And in the following week (from May 20 to 25), the event will continue in Ilhéus, on visits to farms producing special cocoa

The second edition of the Bean to Bar Chocolate Week, the only 100% Brazilian event dedicated to producers of specialty cocoa and Bean to Bar chocolates, has grown significantly in comparison to its 2018 edition. This year, the event will also take place in São Paulo in two different addresses: all lectures, courses, tastings, panels and workshops will be held at Unibes Cultural www.unibescultural.org.br (Rua Oscar Freire, 2500), next to the Sumaré Station, Metro Green Line. And the Bean to Bar producers’ fair will be held at the Tangram Space, www.espacotangram.com.br, near the Fradique Coutinho Station, Metro Yellow Line.

That is a positive move by the Bean to Bar Brazil Association, responsible for the organization that, given the choice of sites, has obviously focused on its concern in facilitating the locomotion of the participants.

Luisa Abram, chocolate maker from São Paulo and one of the biggest names in the Brazilian Bean to Bar, along with Karen Neugebaur, a temperament expert, Ruth Kenisson, educator and chocolate maker from Los Angeles, Hazel Lee, creator of the Tasting with Colors concept that focuses on the color relationship with chocolate flavors, Maya Schoop-Rutten, a Santa Barbara’s famous Californian store, Maya Chocolates, and Greg D’Alesandre and the brand’s cocoa buyer Dandelion, also from California. We could also mention Luciano Sanjuan, an agronomic consultant focused on the biodynamic system of cocoa cultivation, Juliana Ustra, a consultant, and Luciana Monteiro, a consultant in the field of biotechnology, food engineer

The Producers’ Fair, which will take place at the Tangram Area, will have 31 exhibitors, ranging from Bean to Bar chocolate brands to machinery manufacturers and cocoa producers.

Tour along Ilhéus farms

And on Sunday, May 20, the Association will promote a trip to Ilhéus, to visit several farms producing special cacao, whose return to São Paulo is scheduled for the 29th.

The idea of the tour at the farms came up last year, to meet the request of several foreign professionals who came to Brazil, and who wished to know the production of cocoa in situ.

Tickets

The tickets will be made available at www.sympla.com.br/ and trips will only take place if there are at least 10 participants. The first batch is already available, at a price of R$ 490, with the right to taste the award winning chocolates of the Bean to Bar Brazil Association. The second lot will be marketed from 04/16 at R$ 550. Extra activities such as courses with specialists have their prices apart.
